잃어버린 것들
엽서와 편지,
티셔츠와 스웨터,
여권과 파카,
휴대전화에 충전기,
테니스 라켓 둘,
블루리즐라 담배갑,
새 양가죽 웃도리 -
다 잃어버렸죠
사는 동안 내 것이라 하고싶은
드물고 귀한 것들이 많았습니다
하지만 난 뭐든 오래 갖고 있질 못하는 모양이예요.
감상적인 소유물 - 한때는 내 것이었지만, 이젠 아닌걸요.
잃어버린,
운동기구와 츄리닝,
바람에 날리는 씨알같이.
천식 호흡기,
모두 잃어버렸죠,
실크컷, 베니 담배,
일엽편주처럼 던져버리고.
열갑 스무갑 포장,
암초에 부딪치고,
C 등급 약물,
팔 너머에 숨어있죠,
항생제,
나를 기다립니다.
주머니에 난 구멍 - 다 잃어버렸죠.
내가 알고 싶은 것은
수중에서 빠져나간
잃어버린 것들이 어디로 가버렸는지.
그러던 어느날 밤 꿈 속에서
양가죽 막을 헤치고 지나자
즐거운 푸른 세상이 있었습니다.
하늘까지 모두 쌓여있는 것들을 보고
기쁨의 눈물을 흘렸습니다.
Postcards and letters,
T-shirts and sweaters,
Passports and parkas,
Mobiles and chargers,
Two tennis rackets,
Blue Rizla packets,
A new sheep-skin jacket -
I lost it all
Through my life there have been
Many rare and precious things
I have tried to call mine
But I just cannot seem
To keep hold of anything
For more than a short time.
Possessions of a sentimental kind -
They were mine, now they're not.
Lost,
Gym-kits and trainers,
Blown like seeds on the wind.
Asthma inhalers,
Everything lost,
Silk-cuts and Bennies,
Tossed like ships on the ocean
Ten-packs and twenties,
And dashed on the rocks,
C-class narcotics,
Hiding just out of reach,
Antibiotics,
Waiting for me.
The holes in my pockets -
I lost it all.
All that I'd like is to know
Just where do those lost things go
When they slip from my hands.
Then one night in a dream
I passed through a sheepskin screen
To a green, pleasant land.
I found them all piled up into the sky
And I cried tears of joy. |
