Twelve million miles a minute, and that's the fastest speed there is.
So remember, when you're feeling very small and insecure,
How amazingly unlikely is your birth,
And pray that there's intelligent life somewhere up in space,

매 2억년 마다 한 바퀴를 돌죠,
하지만 우리의 은하계는 계속 팽창하는 놀라운 우주 속에서,
수십억 개 은하계의 하나에 불과하답니다.
우주는 언제나 항상 팽창을 거듭하고 있죠,
소리를 내며 모든 방향으로 말이죠,
빛의 속도로 아주 빠르게요,
일분에 천이백만 마일 (1,920만 Km)의 속도가,
가장 빠른 속도랍니다.
그러니 기억하세요,
당신이 아주 작게 느껴지고 불안할 때,
당신의 탄생이 얼마나 하찮은 일이었는지,
그리고 기도하세요,
우주 저 어딘가에 지능을 갖춘 생명체가 존재하기를,
